DIY Pineapple Costume

QUESTION: Who lived in a pineapple under the sea?

ANSWER: I don’t care, but I do know I want to be that pineapple as long as it looks like this one. All you need for this easy-as-pie-napple costume  is a yellow shift dress, green poster board, toilet paper roll, a headband, hot glue gun, scissors and some sick paper cutting skills. Thank you to Studio DIY for being straight up genius.

Dancing Queen

Fact: I am an Abba fan, blame my dad.

Fact: I LOVE their song “Dancing Queen” and have been found to dance to it like a complete idiot since I was “young and sweet, only seventeen”.

With the above being said I dig a good dance song and dance outfit. Below are some outfits  I could get down with.

Summer to Fall to Winter Transition Piece: The Denim Skirt

Currently I’m really digging the below denim skirt from Forever21. I think it’s the perfect piece for the summer to fall to winter transition here in Florida. Can’t you just picture it with a black tank that’s knotted in the center with heels or sandals? And then when it comes time for the chilly weather you can just throw a sweater over it or a boyfriend cardigan and some ankle booties. I’m struggling whether or not I should run to the store to grab it or order it online in hopes it makes it in time for my Austin trip!

NYFW

In the fabulous city of Orlando I have the world at my finger tips. Ignore the fact that the world consists of my husband and dog (awww) and the internet (double awwww). With the latter I get access to the amazingness (yes, that’s a word…no, it’s really not) that is New York Fashion Week. Below are some outfits I’m drooling over featuring DVF, Altuzarra, Prabal Gurung, and Cushnie et Ochs.  #PutItOnMe #NYFW

Labor Day: Bahamas Edition

Like a lot of people in this world, I love to travel. It’s truly one of my passions that I try to nourish as often as possible. Since last year, I promised myself that I would capitalize on holiday weekends as well as my limited vacation time to travel and see this great, big world. Luckily, this long Labor Day weekend won’t disappoint. I will be trekking to the land of crystal blue waters, hot sand, cool breezes, Kalik beer, conch chowder and island style, aka the Bahamas! Here’s what’s on my packing list:

• Easy maxi dresses

• Bikinis

• Mini dresses (cause sometimes maxi dresses make me feel like I’m suffocating if it’s hot outside)

• Flip flops

• T-strap sandals

No Fall for Floridians

That’s a fact. Leaves turn, the air gets cooler and there is a scent of apples, cinnamon and pumpkins everywhere but in the grand ole’ state of Florida. Even though that’s the case, I’m a sucker for shopping for new seasons. It’s only August and I’ve already bought 2 sweaters from my beloved Zara and I’m eyeing the following jeans, boots, scarves, etc. that seem to be following me thanks to some well done targeted advertising. Someone help me cause if I attempt to wear these before January I will surely die of a heatstroke.
